All renters — Filipino residents and foreign visitors alike — must present at minimum 2 major IDs plus supporting identification.
Supporting IDs include: credit card, debit card, work ID, school ID, library card, insurance card, or any document that carries your name. You don’t need a full stack of government documents — the bar is reasonable and the same for everyone.
For Foreign Visitors: Which IDs Work?
Your passport counts as a major ID and is fully accepted. Bringing your passport as collateral is not only acceptable at Rent2Ride Manila — it’s actively encouraged. Nearly every reputable motorcycle rental company in the Philippines requires a major ID held as collateral, and a passport is a secure, universally recognized choice. Leaving it is safer than carrying it around Manila all day.
No valid 90-day passport stamp is required. If you’re a tourist on a standard 30-day entry, you can rent without any extension paperwork.
Driver’s License Requirements
For Filipino Residents
According to the Land Transportation Office (LTO), Filipino riders must hold a valid driver’s license with Restriction Code 1 (or DL Code A/A1) to legally operate a motorcycle on public roads. A car-only license is not sufficient — it does not cover motorcycles regardless of engine size.

For Foreign Visitors

Fuel and Mileage
Mileage Limit
Each rental includes 250 km per day. This is not unlimited mileage — plan your routes accordingly. Makati to Tagaytay and back is roughly 130–140 km, well within the daily allowance for most trips.
Rent2Ride Manila does not offer delivery service. Pickup and return are at their Makati stall.
Fuel Policy
Return the bike with at least the same fuel level you received it at. Returning with less fuel is allowed — but refueling yourself before return is cheaper than the surcharge for letting Rent2Ride Manila do it.
If you receive a bike with low fuel: fill it within 10 minutes of pickup, photograph the receipt, and send the photo to Rent2Ride Manila via WhatsApp. They will reimburse the fuel cost.
Helmets and Gear
One helmet is included free with every rental. A second helmet is available for an additional fee (which varies by rental duration).
Rent2Ride Manila provides half-face helmets only — full-face helmets are not in the fleet. Half-face helmets fit nearly all riders and are legal and compliant with Philippine helmet law. Worth noting: many competitors’ full-face helmets run several sizes too large and are effectively unusable for most riders.
No tool kits or raincoats are provided. Bring your own wet-weather gear if you’re riding during typhoon season.

Grace Period
Returning late by under one hour incurs no extra charge. Hourly charges apply after that — not a full extra day’s rate.
Early Return Refund
If you return the bike before your rental period ends, unused days are refunded. This is rare in Philippine motorcycle rentals — almost no other shop does this. Monthly-rate renters who return early are recalculated at the daily rate.
Paused Rentals
